Trim, Meath
One of the major landmarks in Trim, this is 14th century tower which was part of the Augustinian Abbey of St Mary. It was also used as a bell tower and a place of refuge. 
It's called the Yellow Steeple as the stone work sets off a golden colour during sun set....

Iniskeen, Monaghan
The early Christian monastery of St Daig is marked by the only surviving feature, a Round Tower, which can be seen in the village.

In the 12th century the Augustinians built another monastery on higher ground alongside the Norman Motte which stands above the village.

The 13th century stone castle consists of a gate tower, curtain walls and two corner towers. In the castle courtyard stands the 18th century Queen Anne style Damer House. Bishop Street, Derry, Derry
St Columb's college in Bishop Street is the site of the ancient Round Tower and it is thought to date from St Columb's time. It was initially built as a windmill. The tower is noted in historic memoirs of the Siege in 1689 as being a ruin then but exact dates of origin have never been fully established. It now stands beside a fine old purpose built college surrounded by beautiful gardens.
